Pyongyang‚ August 25 (KCNA) –– The Paektusan Czech–Korean Friendship
Association made public a statement on August 21 condemning the
adventurous “Ulji Focus Lens” joint military exercises being staged by
the U.S· and the south Korean bellicose forces· The statement said that
since the conclusion of the Armistice Agreement‚ the U.S· forces have
staged together with the south Korean army dangerous military maneuvers
every year to ignite another war in Korea·
Recalling that the U.S· has perpetrated provocations and espionage
against any countries when it deems necessary and kept producing new
type weapons with tremendous destructive power‚ the statement bitterly
denounced the U.S· for staging military exercises to threaten peace and
stability on the Korean Peninsula and laying obstacles in the way of
reunification·
Our association is standing by the people of the DPRK and
pro–reunification forces in south Korea in their struggle for the
peaceful reunification of the country and the withdrawal of the U.S·
troops from south Korea‚ the statement said‚ demanding the U.S· halt
its criminal moves against the Korean people·
